Deploying Application from SCCM

 

  1. Open the SCCM Admin Console:

  1. Find the Deployment Collection for the Application you want to deploy:

  1. Right Click on that collection and click on add Resources:

  1. Type in the hostname in the first box “Name string contains”

  1. Highlight the Hostname of the computer you want to deploy the application to:

  1. Click add and then click OK:

*Important Note*

Be sure that only the hostname of the machine you wish to add is present under “Selected Resources”. It is very easy to add the wrong hostname(s) to a collection. 

 

*It may take a few minutes for the collection to update and reflect the added hostnames. *

 

Once the machine’s hostname has been added the application will install when the machine runs an Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle.

 

You can speed up this process by:

 

  1. opening the Configuration Manager applet:

  1. Click on the Actions Tab and highlight Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle

  1. Click Run Now:

  1. You should see the application start to download and install in the Software Center:
