Deploying Application from SCCM
- Open the SCCM Admin Console:
- Find the Deployment Collection for the Application you want to deploy:
- Right Click on that collection and click on add Resources:
- Type in the hostname in the first box “Name string contains”
- Highlight the Hostname of the computer you want to deploy the application to:
- Click add and then click OK:
*Important Note*
Be sure that only the hostname of the machine you wish to add is present under “Selected Resources”. It is very easy to add the wrong hostname(s) to a collection.
*It may take a few minutes for the collection to update and reflect the added hostnames. *
Once the machine’s hostname has been added the application will install when the machine runs an Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle.
You can speed up this process by:
- opening the Configuration Manager applet:
- Click on the Actions Tab and highlight Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle
- Click Run Now:
- You should see the application start to download and install in the Software Center:
