New MacBook Setup
- Connect MacBook to ethernet and turn on device.

Create the root/local admin account:
- Username: mac_admin
- Password: Mac@dm1n!
- Open System Settings/General.

- Choose About and Click on Name and enter the hostname for the machine.
- Click the back arrow.
- Click on Sharing.
- Click on Remote Management and turn it on.
- The Options menu will pop-up.
- Click OK.
- Select Only These Users.
- click the Plus sign.
- Select the mac_admin.
- Check all the boxes.
- Click OK.
- Click Done.
- Scroll down and choose Users & Groups.
- Click Edit under Network account server.
Click on the plus sign.
- The server address is kki.org.
- Click OK.
- Click Done.
- Under Users & Groups.
- Click Edit.
- Click on Open Directory Utility…
- Click the padlock on the bottom left of the window.
- Enter the mac_admin password and click Modify Configuration.
- Open Active Directory.
- Enter the mac_admin password and click Modify Configuration.
- Click Show Options.
- Check the box Create mobile account at login.
- Click on the Administrative tab.
- Check the box Allow administration by:
- Click OK.
- Enter the mac_admin password and click Modify Configuration.
- Close the Directory Utility.
- Click on Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to FileVault.
- Click Turn on…
- Click Unlock.
- Check the radio button Create a recovery key and do not use my iCloud account.
- Click Continue.
- Click Continue.
- Click on Lock Screen.
- Set Login window shows Name and password.
- Click on the red button to close the window.
- Click on the Apple button in the file menu and select reboot.
- Click Restart.
- The laptop is ready.
