CareLink user password Reset in Epic

CareLink users are Providers outside of the Organization that has access to Epic’s cloud system called CareLink. CareLink allows external clinicians to securely view patient medical information such as notes, history, medication etc. For users to access they would need to portal go to epiccarelink.kennedykrieger.org. 

Resetting a CareLink user’s password

  1. Log into Epic (Hyperspace), click User Security

 

  1. Search for the user’s name, and press Enter.

  1. Select the user’s name, click Accept or double click the user’s name.

  1. Click Accept on any contact date.

  1. Click Basic Information.

  1. Enter a temporary password twice (you will give this to the user), and click Accept.

  1. Click Expire (This will allow the password to expire upon next log in).

  1. Have the user log in with temporary password and they will be prompted to change their password.

Tip

You can also have the user reset their password on their own by going to the CareLink website and clicking Forgot Password.
