Locked out of MyChart

MyChart accounts can be inactive due to the customer being locked out. Customers get locked out when they made too many unsuccessful attempts to log in or to reset their password. You can simply reactivate the account. After reactivating their account, you will need to provide them with a temporary password to log in.

Help unlock a Proxy/patient’s MyChart Account

  1. Navigate to the MyChart Administration activity.
  2. On the bottom left click Switch to patient Lookup (Yours may already be defaulted patient lookup).

  1. Search for the patient’s name and DOB.
  2. If it is a parent or guarding calling in, confirm their identity by asking their name and DOB. 
  3. Click on the name of the account.
  4. Click Send Email.

  1. Confirm that is it the correct email address and click Send.

  1. The proxy will receive an email, have them click on the hyperlink. link in the email. It will take them to a page to create a new password and enter their DOB.  They will then click Submit. This will activate their account.

You Can Also Re-Actvate the MyChart account with A Temporary Password.

Another way to activate an account that his been locked out is by activating the account and giving the proxy a temporary password. 

 

  1. Click Activate

  1. Click Change Password.

  1. Enter a new temporary password and click Accept. Give the temp password to the proxy. Once the proxy logs in with the temp password, they will be prompted to enter a code that was sent to their email address. After the code is entered on the screen, the proxy will be prompted to enter their new password and they will be automatically logged into MyChart. 

 

Important Note

The proxy/parent will not be able to proceed unless they verify themselves through email or receive a temporary password.
