MyChart Mobile App

Help a patient with the MyChart App

MyChart for iOS and MyChart for Android are portable versions of MyChart that patients/caregivers can use to manage their health information on the go. The mobile apps contain many of the same features as the MyChart website, allowing patients/caregivers to do all of the following, and more!

How to install the MyChart app           

To install the MyChart app, go to the App Store or Google Play Store and search for "MyChart." 

1. On your mobile device, open the Apple App Store (if you have an iOS device) or the Google Play Store (if you have an Android device). Look for one of the following icons to find the app store on your device:

2. Search for MyChart. Look for the following logo to make sure you have the right app:

3. Tap Install

4. After you've installed the app, tap Open or find the MyChart icon on your device and tap to open it. Click Add organization, and search for Kennedy Krieger

6. Select Kennedy Krieger Institute, click Add selected organizations, and log in with credentials.

7. The parent/caregiver will be prompted to verify themselves with a 2-step multifactor authentication which lasts for 10 mins. The code will go to their email, have the parent/caregiver enter the code and click Verify

8. The parent/caregiver will be prompted to accept terms and agreements, click Accept, and click the patient’s name.

Accessing Reports            

With MyChart, parents/caregivers can view reports as soon as they become available, rather than waiting for a phone call or letter from their physician. 

 

  1. To view reports, click Visits navigate to the date that the patient was seen and click View notes.

Navigating through the MENU        

At the top of the home page are shortcuts you can use to get to the most commonly used activities. The Menu allows you to easily navigate through the app. 

 

  1. Click the 3 lines on the top left pane, scroll down or manually search.

Send a message                   

  1. Messages can be accessed on the home page and/or listed under the main menu. To send a message, click Messages. You will be taken to a screen where messages may be displayed if a provider has sent you a message. To create a new message, click Send a Messge.

  1. The next a screen gives you 3 options: Refill a medication allows the parent/guardian to manage their medications. Ask a customer service question allows the parent/guardian to send a message to the billing team and to the MyChart support team. Click Ask a medical question to proceed with sending the provider a message. Click Next on the disclaimer page.

  1. The Parent/caregiver can choose one of the 3 options to send the provider a message. After selecting the type of medical question, select the name of the provider.

  1. Ensure that the patient enters the subject and a message in the body. Click Send

 

Important Note

The Send button will be greyed out if the subject and body of the message is not filled out.

 

Tip

The parent/caregiver can attach documents by clicking the paper clip button that states attach.

 

 

 

Manage Medication           

  1. Go to the Menu>My Record > Medications to see all of your current medications in one place. You can see details for each medication, including the prescribed dosage, instructions, and the physician who prescribed the medication. You can view additional information about a medication, such as precautions to consider when taking the medication and potential side effects, by clicking the Learn more link.

PRINT a Report                     

 

1. To print a report, click the 3 dots

  1. Click Print. You may already see a printer selected; however, if there is no printer automatically selected, proceed and  click No Printer Selected.

  1. After selecting your available printer, click Print Options. The print button will no longer be grayed out. Press Print and the document will print to the selected printer.

Tip

Note: You can easily add or switch between your MyChart accounts at different healthcare organizations using the Switch Organizations button on the login screen or the Switch Organization menu option after you've logged in.
