August 2025 Epic/MyChart Upgrade
For the Epic Aug 25 Upgrade-The following are updates/changes in MyChart.
MyChart has a new password recovery process that will make it easier for helpdesk to reset passwords, additionally, protect patients' medical information by making it harder for impersonators to gain access to patient accounts at KKI. In this workflow, help desk staff send a password reset link to the patient's email. Prior to the upgrade helpdesk used to give temporary passwords.
This new password reset process is automatically used starting in August 2025.
If customer calls in and cannot log in to their account because they do not remember their password.
- Launch MyChart Administration and search for the patient.
- Click Send Link to Reset Password.
- You will see the email on file for the MyChart account, this is how they will receive the link.
- The customer will go to their email, open the link, and confirms their date of birth, then enters their new password.
