Pending Access in MyChart
We require that potential proxies confirm the patient's date of birth (DOB) in MyChart. When a user assigns a proxy in MyChart Administration in Hyperspace, a pending flag informs them that the relationship was successfully assigned but must be confirmed by the proxy through MyChart.
Approving Pending Access in MyChart
- After the proxy has been assigned in the MyChart administration, a pending flag shows that the proxy will need to confirm the patient in MyChart.
- An email notification is sent to the proxy upon approval, prompting them to log in and accept access to their child’s information.
- The proxy will see a notification confirming that they have been approved to view the patient’s record. Select Review access.
If the proxy does not see the email. The proxy can log into MyChart and Review access will be on the home page.
- The proxy will need to enter the patient’s DOB, select the Proxy Access disclaimer, click Confirm, and click Done.
- Click Done to confirm access.
You can also navigate to Manage Friends and family to accept pending approval
- If the user has no profile to switch, they can also confirm the patient’s access by going to Manage Friends and family.
- The proxy will see a notification confirming that they have been approved to view the patient’s record. Select Review access.
If a proxy request access to a patient record, it will be pending until approved by HIM.
